Oy Ammus and Oy Sytytin manufacture military equipment in Rauma until production ends in the autumn of 1944 with the armistice agreement signed with the Soviet Union. The munitions factory is repurposed into a machine shop and becomes involved in war reparations. This marks the beginning of chain production in Rauma.

Between 1945 and 1948, Oy Ammus delivers railway wagons and a total of 45 km of various roller and conveyor chains to the Soviet Union. After reparations, conveyor systems become the factory’s main line of business, especially for the pulp, paper, chemical, and metallurgical industries.
